I wanted to just dip my corals that are being delivered to my house with the water they are in. ReVive says to use 1 capful per gallon of water. Is it ok to just use the water and kind of eyeball the amount with the capful?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would use display water. Shipping water has going through dramatic changes in pH and may have some elevated ammonia levels as well. I have no idea what affect adding the revive would do, possibly nothing.

Personally I have never used shipping water so I could be wrong.

that was my first thought too, the water they're coming in can be pretty nasty. Use your display's water and then you can be more exact with the measurement as well.

So temp acclimate corals by floating in the bag, then put into display water? I guess differences in salinity/alk/etc are to be ignored? Thanks.

P.S. I placed 6 or so corals I got into revive solution and all of them did great except one acro. It RTNed within 24hours. Tried fragging it to save it several times, but it continued to RTN. Finally was able to save one tiny frag (single half inch long branch) out of entire busy colony :(

No idea what cause it, but it did not like something. The remaining tiny frag is doing great. Any ideas?
