I never said a bucket was optimal, but there is little difference between a 5gallon bucket and a 5gallon tank. I never said not cycled, that is what the filter sponge is for, or a live rock from the display. But a bucket and a rock beat dead fish any day. And by the way, I have in an emergency, done the bucket and nothing died. Actually they got better and lived.

Actually aside from your local fish store maybe? I've not seen any other online dealer aside from HC who does what they do. Not saying there isn't any though for sure. Be aggressive!! State what you want. It's a living animal and your putting forth good money to give it the best :)

Although I stated that QT at home tanks would be less stressful, I feel that NanaReefer does in a way make a good point. If you have a good LFS, they should have no problem in holding the fish of your choice to make sure it's going to be healthy. So far, I haven't found a store that has a return policy. So when you spend that much money on a fish, you should be certain it is a healthy fish, and not one ready to croak after the first day. Once again, I suppose it all boils down to your LFS. But, I do see a common consensus, the quick dip solution is not the way to go. Save your money.
