Hi Amcarrig! Both the clown and the tang were little tiny guys -- the tank was proably nore more than an 1-1/2 inch. He'd get a bulge in his little belly when he would eat. Never saw any signs of illness or parasites (not that I know the symptoms of too many of them). My cleaner shrimp, Pierre, has been around for months now.

BTW -- saw the COOLEST thing. My brittlestar, who's getting quite large, went after one of the snails (can't remember the name -- I think sand snail. Has the antennea kinda like a periscope and buries itself in the sand). Anyway, the BS had it wrapped up in its arms for Sunday dinner. However, I intervened (not too much mail, please about how I should let nature take it's course) and the slime that the BS did get he ate. It was really something!!!!! Hey, maybe he ate the fish?

my girl friend had gobies and a big bristle worm population.the bristle worms ate the gobies.in your case,i blame the starfish though.if a star gets big enough it will eat fish, green ones eat fish often cause they get big.they will wait until the fish is under them and drop down on them.

He's pretty big, at least for a 29g I would think. His body is about the size of a quarter. Maybe I should trade him in for , um, yeah, SOME FISH! ;D

Not likely. If it's what I'm thinking they are, the small stars are probably what are referred to as "mini brittle stars" and they won't get much larger than they are now. They're good for detritus control so it's a plus :)
