With everything on craigslist, caution is key. If it seems too good to be true it usually is..

Ya, uhm honestly, reading this was more of a confirmation that this guy is not legit. I'm sorry, but having adopted asian kids or a Jag doesn't make you an honest person.

And to the OP, this same guy is posting adds in the Reno CL too... I wouldn't trust him

I dont want to beat a dead horse but I just got another email from this guy...apparently he has a store front now and oh, oh, a website.

Discount Aquariums, Fish and Reef is Arizona's Used Aquariums SuperStore!

Is there anyone in the Phoenix area that has been to this new place? From the sounds of it this guy is not honest at all, but if he has some credibility his prices are cheap.

Yeah... I don't have any direct experience with this guy, but I've heard/read lots of stories, living in the same city.

It seems a handful do have a good experience with him, but for each of those people, there's 10 that have been burned.

Yeah, I would hate to be one of the 10 that have been burned. At least with a store front you would have a place to go to break some glass!!

I dont know something about a place that doesnt have 1 single picture of a storefront, and especially an actual picture of any tanks or more importantly livestock makes me leary. Looking at his price list (which doesnt include and ON HAND quantities) makes me think he is a order by demand reshipper. Think I would pass.

Yes, I would agree he is an order by demand type....hence the reason he requires a $150 minimum purchase. I wish he was legite with those prices, cuz it is tempting. I was hoping someone in the area would have stopped by the shop and said they are good to go, but I am not wanting to risk $150.

he specifically says he is "order by demand" on his website. below is copy and pasted from the site...

    Shipping Details

Your package will be flown by Southwest Airlines Air Cargo directly from the wholesaler. In most cases this means that your livestock will arrive at its destination less than 12 hours after it is packed for flight. As soon as an air bill number is available, we will email this to you so that you can track the flight at Southwest Air Cargo - Same Day Air Cargo and Freight Flights generally arrive late in the evening. Your shipment may be picked up at the Southwest Airlines Freight office one hour after the flight lands. Alternatively you may pick your package the next morning.

the arive alive guarentee goes as far as opening the box!?! and then paying shipping to mail it to him even though he never saw the livestock in the first place? rofl.

I'm am sorry but I can think of many places that can do better and will get my money first.

This makes me think of the bums in Austin that offer to watch your car for a dollar. At least if the bum dies I can get my dollar back & wont have to mail him anywhere.

Seriously- try reefaholics out of KC the guy knows what he is doing, and what you see is really what you get- I only say so because I have ordered from him with really great results. Best packaging I have ever seen.
