On that second point, I believe Greg was comparing Tanked to public marine aquariums in that most do not show what goes on behind the scenes. Some, but not all public aquariums give tours of lighting/filtration regimen open to the public.

...and I agree with both of those.

But public aquariums aren't leaving anyone with the impression that its easy to set up tanks like theirs in their homes.

Someone already pointed out that they don't "cycle" the aquariums because, beings that they are in the business of setting up aquariums, they could have a whole bunch of ready bioballs to throw in the wet dry sump. So you can't call it an uncycled aquarium. But there in lies the original topic...to make sure people know what actually goes into setting up a large aquarium...

They've been saying it for years. The only reason they may regulate the hobby would be due to pressure on the wild populations and/or concerns of invasive species.

They will never pull the plug one the hobby for reasons of an improper cycle.

That is a straw man argument.

This whole thread is still LoL. Like I said discussion = popularity = ratings (intentional or not) = sponsors = money = welcome to season 2.

Thank you all for another soon to be 100 plus post count thread. Keep the show popular & welcome to season 2.

This almost reminds me of the pro and con fanatics that time in week after week to watch the tards on whale wars. Yep I said tards, and that's cause we all know that show will run till some one dies. But I'll have to read the article cause I turned the channel like some of you should on tanked.

Where did anyone in this thread say they didn't want there to be a season 2 or that they didn't want the show to succeed?

Mike isn't really against the show. He's saying that sometimes protests cause the opposite of what they intended.

BTW, welcome to 3Reef Richard!! I might have a cuttlefish question for you but I'll send you a message if I can't figure it out for myself.
