This Blueface angel is in a 190g Fowlr. Have had him for at least 3-4 months, is chunky and still eats well. No one picks on him either. I'm thinking this is Lymphocystis so not much we can do, but let it run it's course? Also, water params are good. If it's not obvious in the picture it is like a white fuzzy patch on both pectorals, no other fin. The patch is a bit bigger on the left pectoral.

I've read a few different reports and looked at different fish disease ID sites and if it is indeed Lymphocystis I'm gathering not much I can do, but let it run it's course? Other idea I've been contemplating is trying to catch him (ugh) and put him in QT with Melafix/Pimafix in case of secondary infection. From one of the reports it said it takes approximately 4 weeks to run it's course and is fish specific...iotw, can only re-infect this guy... ???

thank you for any input! I really don't want to lose this guy. :/

Do NOT chase this puppy around the tank and stress him out. Make sure water parameters are excellent and diet is excellent and observe daily. (By excellent diet, I don't mean eating every day. Make sure it's diet is well balanced, full of vitamins, and HUFA's).

Curt, thank you so much for replying. I've not been on here in a long while, but I recognize your sig/name and I know you know what you're talking about! Yes, my wife always only feeds every other day. We (she!) also always adds Selcon, Zoe and Garlic Extreme to various frozen foods. Although we do put in nori or Ocean Select w/garlic daily.

Do you think that's what it is (Lymphocystis)?
