I her these stories about how hard it is to get these fish to start eating, especially flake foods! I do not like feeding frozen as the main diet all the time because it tends to bring my water quality to crap after a while. Flake food don't give me that issue. So, I started off feeding frozen food (a mix of krill, mysys, plankton, brine and blood worms. He didn't eat for me the first day but the next morning he ate for me, and I watched him to make sure I knew which was his favorite in this frozen food mix. It ended up being ONLY the brine shrimp he would eat. I fed my tank twice a day of brine shrimp and flakes. My clown LOVES flakes lol Did this for another 2 days then put less and less brine in the tank with every day. Finally about 4 days later I saw him actually eating the smaller pieces of flakes... SUCCESS!! The next day I fed only flakes and he chowed down! I always make sure the flakes go into the water colum and not just sit on the surface... and he now eats flake foods as the main diet like my other fish do. I only feed frozen once, sometimes twice a week. Makes it much easier for me :p

Nice. Each fish is different in what food it will accept (picky fish anyway) so you got lucky!
