K9 my sump is perpendicular to my Tank only about 1 foot away. but unless your pump is struggling I can't see the tank volume raising and dropping.

That's what is going on right? The tank volume goes up and down over time. Or is it just low always?

its always low. If i try to open up the return then it overwhelms the overflow. and the tank water level rises. I would not be too concerned only the water level is right at the bottom of the hood, and so you get a direct visual on the halides occasionally,

would sure help see what the problem is. I have a 90G with a 30G Sump and it works beautifully with little noise.
