Distilled water

Is Distilled water safe for top offs?

 

I've heard it isn't, but that's what I've been using for a long time with no ill effects.

 

It's fine for top-off.

 

I thought it was fine I just dont want to waste it Im gettin one of those three gallon jugs Im gonna convert onto a drip top off system not automatic but I should only have to fill it twice a week instead of nadding water twice a day like now

 

Must be nice, my tank goes through 1 - 1.5 gallons a day of top off water. That will skyrocket up if I can get this trade worked out for my next tank.

Trying to work a trade for a 600 gallon 8' x 4' footprint monster of a tank.

I think the only problem is that old distilling machines were made of copper, but today I'm sure most would be stainless or titanium.
