Why not live and continue doing what you love???

Nobody knows how it is going to happen, just that it will. I have never understood everyone going on about adrenilin junkies "dying doing what they love". Personally, I would want to look back at a long life well lived.... taking chances and living life to the fullest does not have to include being stupid and engaging in risky "tricks and stunts" that have high mortality rate. Sorry but base jumping is a prime example, just about everyone good at it dies from it. Being bad at it... well you only do that once.

there are a lot to sacrifice a life for... family, country, integrity, saving someone else.... tricks, stunts, and bragging rights don't seem worth it to me. Just my two cents.

And I do like adrenilin, I just don't need to jump off a bridge with a plastic bag on my back to feel alive. To each his own though.

You have to balance needless risks for enjoyment with the risk to your family if something should go wrong, IMO. That's something you learn with age and the center of your life is no longer yourself.

I had a great time "growing up" and enjoyed lots of crazy things. That's why I married late. But when you bring kids into this world, you have to consider where it will leave them.

I do feel bad now that I'm older about the stress I caused my mother. Not bad enough to wish I hadn't of done it, though.... except for one thing. It was a fabulous experience for me, not so much for her....

i can definitely see where you are coming from and i Agree with you 100%.
Im up for the feeling of acomplishment.. and if i had a goal i would follow it.
yet.. i dont want to say unimportant, but other than the feeling of acomplishment, and joy it doesnt... give you anything else.

It is pretty hard to describe, because I want to say its stupid to risk your life to just acomplish something that wont really put food in your table, or protect your family, or give you anything you cant live without.

yet, Im going to contradict my self... I also belive that if there is something you strongly want to do... or want to feel, or want to acomplish then do it. And let nothing stand in your way.

    Thanks, elweshomayor.

I am sorry for rearing this thread off topic. I just had a thought & figured I would express that thought.
