I agree, I don't know what else can be expected. Sometimes things happen, it is shipping live animals cross country in a box, it's not the most controlled environment.
I guess it's a good example of the type of risk you may expect to find though with online vendors. Regardless though, LA/DD handled it as to be expected and no different than the other online retailers would handle it.

Well I just like the packing way of reefempire better. And the color of corals posted online seems a lot more close to reality than liveaquaria...I guess they do some photoshops. The LA order is shipped in a huge foam box with tons of peanuts while RE order is tightly packed... Maybe this is the reason the heat pack works better in reefempire order...

Diver's Den doesn't "photoshop"; nearly nobody does that. They have some fairly heavy actinics that they take pictures under, with nearly no white light, to make the corals really glow.

Talking to the lady herself who takes the photos, she doesnt. I hate when people judge sites like that without knowing the truth. Colorwise, all my corals from Divers den have been exact to the picture. Also please do remember that the lighting under the picture that it was taken is probably different from your lighting. Even a simple bulb can change the color

I have to agree that this is one of the best places to order online from... or visit and pick up :) I dont think I've heard a negative response about their customer service. Even in store, their service is great! I definately recommend ordering from them.

Be aware that LA and DD are not 100% the same thing. There are big differences.

Well I guess I just had bad luck with the marine cultured corals, since when I got it it's already brown and died the next day... Maybe that explains the color difference. I just wonder why every montipora in the marine cultured section is on sale... And I ordered two, one die before shipping and the other die on the way... I agree that their customer service is great. Just may need to be careful with the on sale items in diver's den.
