Well Oceanparadise1 and i where talking and want small frag tanks and i have two laying around so i made some frag tanks for us. I had the tank and the filter already and a heater for mine. I went to lowes got some ege create for $11 valspar spraypaint $3 blue painters tape $4 10 foot pvc 1/2" $2. So i got to work, scraped the tanks down with a razor blade washed inside and out, dried and started to work on the frag racks. I used super glue to hold it together and thats it. I left room all the way around the rack for a mini mag float. We plan on having a 1" sand bed, penguin 170(kind of old but are one of the best HOB filters ive used and there is room where a half unit of chemi-pure can go ;D) I have some pictures below!!! hope you enjoy and ask questions and give pointers!

I have a HOB filter very similar to that. :) You're giving me ideas. Yes, I want to hear about the lights!

lights are ALL i have been thinking about after i made everything. i was thinking of one of those screw in LED light blubs, never used one and im skeptical about it. There is also a bunch of deep blue or something like that that have been coming up in my area and look nice and are like 70 bucks. or just bite the bullet and get a 150mh :) where the tank is going gives my the option to hang it which i really want to do!

any advice on what to use? kinda wanna try something new

What about those new Marineland LED lamps..they are meant for reef tanks & have feet that will rest on the trim of the tank. You could get the 18-24" model. That should be perfect for a 10g.
