You know, to make a DIY doser, you can take a jugs, and run 2 airlines through the cap, then seal it off well with crazy glue. One airline goes to the bottom of the jug, and up to your tank. The other airline stays near the top of the jug, and gets connected to a small air pump on a timer.

That's how the one tatted4ever works, just built by someone else and costing 10x as much as the parts.

I've read probably 30 article and twice that many threads on SPS reeef chemistry, most of it is crazy technical and these guys are getting like inches of growth a month. Average 8.26 (PH probe) I dose at night because raising DHK can raise PH
so typically PH can drop at night due to C02 , due to any plant life breathing oxygen at that time rather than using C02 like they do at day time
so doing the adds at night means my PH increases, but no faster than the PH would be dropping ( its a stabiliser like having a fuge on reverse lighting cycle)

water bottles is fine, 1 litre is good IMO
    What are you current levels?

with that information , I would / should be able to let you know how much of both products ( not on same night dont forget) to add to your water to bring it up slowly

Magnesium ? if you dont have an adequate magnesium level, anything you do add, may force anything previously added to fall out of solution

with 450 calc - your going to need 1400 - 1450 Magnesium in an SG of 1.025 I believe, to ensure your DKH is not lowered as your calc is increased
