Is the jebo tank a flat bottom tank, or does it have a raised edge around the bottom like AGA aqueon tanks do?

If it has the raised edge bottom, the carpeting won't be beneficial, unless you want mold or other grody stuff to live there.

    What part?

About the tank possibly not needing a buffer between it and the wood?

I guess a picture of the actual tank would answer most of the questions.
The link you posted to jebo does not have any tank beside the nano.

Is it an acrylic tank, or a glass tank?

I think basically what he's saying is that the carpeting on top of the stand is a bad idea, and I agree. It will just get wet and start to mold and grow nasty bacteria and generally stink. Maybe just get some plywood to cover the top with? Or just leave it bare.

yeah unfortunately jebostore.com does not ship these tanks thats why its not listed in their site but i love the idea that its a curved glass aquarium and not acrylic. supposely its way too expensive to ship. i will post pics of the tank on top of my stand asap. thanks for the fast reply.

    Is that actually glass?

If so that is pretty sweet.

Now the bottom, is the silver rim raised over the bottom of the tank?

If so, then that carpet will not be doing any good.

I have a store near me that sells those types of tanks. They are pretty sweet looking in person.

yeah i notice what you guys are saying but even tho the carpet is not required i love the look of it. plus it will prevent the tank from slipping in a earthquake. i live in california so plenty of earthquakes. but seriously the picture was really bad. this is 100% genuine glass that has curved sides. if you see it in person you would know what i mean. i thought it was acrylic when i first saw it! will post new pics soon. i also got a new jebo metal halide system. too bad the ballast are magnetic which i posted in another thread. but really bright.
