Some of the acrylic was salvaged from an other tank. I have to deal with a bow in the acrylic what APITA.

    more bowage
    [IMG]

I added 1/2'' strips to all inside corners to add strength and to reduce the chance of a leak

this will be the fuge section of the tank. It will glue to the right side of the DT
    [IMG]
There will be a divider[IMG] in the fuge to have a return chamber. I will use a maxi jet to pump the water from the fuge to the return.

The left side will hold macro algae and live rock. I kept it off the bottom for easy cleaning. The left side will hold media, the water will flow up thru the media.

Just a little info on the system. I will be using a HOB skimmer. The stock overflow jigs the are sent with are less than sub-par. I thought it would work better if I made a longer on that would draw more surface area water. It will hang on the back and move left to right to adjust to the skimmer placement.

This is the deep part were the inlet tube for the skimmer will set into

I will sand all the black acrylic with 800grit sandpaper to get rid of the gloss finish
    [IMG]
I made a couple of clips that will glue to the overflow that will allow it to hang from the back and move left or right

I want to make sure this tank does not give out in the corners. The tank is made of 3/4'' plexiglass-G. I cut a bunch of inside corners to install to all inside corners, even the bottom. I used a card scraper to clean all sawed sides. (the edges were very sharp.

No HOB overflow. The fuge section will be attached to the DT 3'' higher. Gravity will feed water to the fuge. The pump will rise the water level higher than the DT and gravity will feed it to the DT.

Fantastic work, looks like you should have no leak problems.

Very clever! Wish I had that level of imagination.
