I got started on the DT by cutting in the overflow outlet and inlet on the right side panel

Then I peeled the paper back on all the edges
    [IMG]
Welded the sides to the front

    Seams look good

All sides done. Now sides to bottom

I dont want a corner issue with this tank so I will go the extra mile. I cut 45deg corner pieces for all inside corners. Even the bottom. This should also help the flow.

I cleaned up the saw marks with a card scraper. The edges were very sharp
    [IMG]
Then it was time to glue all of them in place.

I bet you could sell those mini acrylic rock tri-pod stands pretty easily.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I cant say that I have seen them anywhere else. How much would you spend on a bag of 15-20?
It is time to add the BLACK. I dont want any light getting into the DT from the fuge at night while the fuge light is on.

I thought I should do the right side corners too

I dont want to hear any waterfall from the tank so I built a trough below the DT water line to let the water flow with out sound

I cut slots in the top bracing, Left and righthand front. I will slid a piece of 3/8 acrylic into the slot with a stop on the top. This will hold my powereheads that have magnets rated for 1/2'' material.

The tank will be bare bottom. I want to have good flow at the bottom. I thought a closed loop would be the way to go.

This was the second try. The first try was with tubing and hose clamps. It looked like a water sprinkler. I went back to the hardware store and got PVC and glued it. Should have done that in the first place. LOL
