agv180 Thanks for the good words.
As for the cost. Witch one? The new build? Or the one I cut up?
The New build, I have about $150 in acrylic and probably $150 in wood so far.

Its time to do some rock work. I dont have much room so I will go up instead of out. This is nothing new to the reef hobby
I used 3/4'' acrylic rod and 1'' pvc. I coated the pvc with epoxy and crushed coral, I will cut the pvc to shorter pieces to separate the platforms.
The platforms are a rock wall I had in my Nanos. I cut them into smaller pieces

This is the base, The base rock will set on top of these to hold the column in place
    [IMG]

All the pieces are interchangeable. I will do final assembly in the tank with the base rock and water added

I painted a piece of white board for the background. I used flat black, flat blue, and a touch of gloss blue. I will be removable if I decide to change it in the future

Excellent work! I love the design and build of the tank, very one off. The work you have put into this is going to make a very awesome tank!

    Thanks, Maxst

I wanted to hang some rock off the right black side of the tank, as well as the back. They need to be removable so I can change the look, or the size of the rock.
This is what I came up with.
I drilled some holes for the brackets
    [IMG]
Layed out and drilled the platforms

Glued in a rod. This will allow the platform to rotate

A coat of epoxy and some crushed coral

I found some mylar to line the bottom side of the lighting bracket.

    Platform brackets glued in place

Powerhead bracket, slides down in a slot cut in the top tank bracing

Ato float switch compartment. It will keep the algae, and small critters out and off the floatswitch. I made it adjustable to fine tune the water level in the fuge.

    Thanks 2in10,

I am lucky enough to have a space where I can go and do as I please. The only one I have to listen to is myself.

You made some cool DIY stuff. Is the acrylic too thick for the koralia magnet to work on?
