    Seno,

Yea it is 3/4'' acrylic. I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy a magnetic algae cleaner for the tank. The thicker the tank the more $ they want for one. I think the cheapest one is $80. I am a little leary of buying a cheap one I want one that is going to work. I will probably have to spend about $125.
I see you are making progress on your build. It is coming together nicely.

Well, I guess that's reasonable. That's pretty thick acrylic. :) A big chunk of money to spend on a magnet. I could see what you might be worried.

Thanks, it's coming together now. :)

    Time for some updates.
I started on the stand facelift part of this remodel buy gluing up some panels for the doors. I used Narra venner I had laying around. The figure will match the Mahogany face frame, and I will stain it to match the color.
To get a nice straight glue edge I stack two pieces of veneer between some plywood and let the veneer stick out past the plywood edge about 1/64'', Then I clamp it all to the bench and sand the edge flush.

Then I tape them together on the back side with blue tape

Flip them over and use veneer tape on the face side. The blue tape will be removed right before the glue up

Every thing is ready for the glue up

It will stay in the clamps over nite

Thanks jkat21, glad you like it. The platforms are working out great.
One of the best things about them is they are adjustable and replaceable
