Where were you able to find 1/4" and 3/8" pex? I can only find long rolls of it, but nothing by the foot. Was planning on going with acrylic tubing if I can't find it soon.

Yeah at Lowes. It was in 5 ft. sections right by the big rolls.

If you were in south Orlando you could get it at my hardware store. If you have any local hardware stores I would try them.

Sorry but your directions are very confusing and I believe are missing pieces. Maybe make a new zapper without the pex and just the wires and such so we can see how it's wired without the shell (pex)? I don't really get the u snapped part how it's all connected. Also how much would you say this costs to build? Thanks

Probably $10, which part do you not understand?

The U section. Is the graphite in the water? Also dont understand the long holder part. Is the needle 20" long with the 18ga wire wrapped around it? But really I think making a diagram or a mock up without the pex would make this so much clearer. Thanks

The graphite is in a spring inside the u pipe, it sticks out of the pipe about 1" with the protector around it. You seal up the end so no water gets in the pipe or on the metal. That is then connected to the switched power source.

The probe can be a needle connected to a wire or the way I did it with a 20" stainless wire connected to the negative source.

    Reefmonkey's Zapper W/ Video

Here's mine and a video of it working. Kills Aip's and fish, clam, coral seem unaffected. :)

I picked up my Pex today. Lowes only had 3/8" or larger, but Home Depot had the 1/4"
Neither had the stainless steel wire, so will look at the hardware store and go by Radio Shack to get the the spring switch.

Should have this built this weekend.

It gets kinda spendy by the roll. Just go to WallyWorld or a sporting good store and by a cheap fishing lure like a buzz-bait or buy a bottom bouncer and cut the wire off of it. I make lures so I had the stuff in my shop.
