DIY Canopy less than $30(Finished!!)

Finally got the stain and clear coat on it. Looks so nice ;D.

That's a getter'done project if i have ever seen one....The only thing i would have done different was a 45 degree angle in the corners very nice and simple...Got to love it...

Thanks ezz1r! yeah i thought about it when i got home, and i dont have that much experience cutting precise cuts like that required, i did okay on the trim but you can tell up close that its not perfect but oh well. i'm not complaining one bit.

While im at it ill update this old thread a tad. I want to cut the front and put a hinge on it because taking it off and on every time I wanna feed, Clean my skimmer cup, and even take water samples really gets annoying.

Hers a quick sketch up i did on paint ( im on my girlfriends lap top because my desktop crashed which means I dont have photoshop any more )

 

That is a great idea!

 

Should be able to use hidden hinges for that. The door would still open out, but the hinges are on the inside.
