No I originally was going to go with 2 of these so I could control each color of LEDs individually but I went with the 2 color dimming kit.

You cannot run the PWM drivers and the 2 color dimming kit. Each one requires a different type of driver.

you're welcome! Just make sure you get the meanwell PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP drivers so the typhon or rapidled controllers work!

Besides the equipment I listed earlier here is some extra equipment and miscellaneous items.

    1. Soldering gun
    2. Solder. I got the 60/40 flux core for electrical applications.
    3. If you are going to screw the LEDs down then I suggest you get nylon screws. Metal screws have the potential of grounding out your connections. My heatsinks are not drilled/tapped so I will be doing this myself.
    4. #43 drill bit
    5. 4/40 tap. This tap is matched the thread on the screws I am using. Make sure your tap matches the screws you choose to use.

My first step in this process now that I have most of my supplies is to lay out my plans on the heatsinks for drilling and tapping. I want to have a good spread over the base of the heatsinks. I will attach a link to my design for laying out my LEDs.

Looks good! I don't think using nylon screws will matter but let us know how they perform.

What's the wattage of your iron?

I would not drill/tap the heat sink. You'll hate yourself by the time you're done.

Thermal adhesive is just as effective, and as long as you don't use more than you should, the diodes will pop right off if you ever need to replace one.
