    I used to buy it on Ebay for really cheap, but the guy quit making it. I know the freshwater plant group makes their own 'plant food', but was wondering if any of you culturing phytoplankton, makes their own phyto food (which is really the same stuff)

    i really want to avoid Miracle Grow, and i know getting the various elements (nitrate, phospahte, chelated iron, etc) is relatively easy, and very inexpensive.

    I buy a cheap "mass pack" from Florida Aqua Farms. It's cheap and all I have to do is mix it with distilled water.
    Makes four litres.
