so my baffles broke over this weekend. i would rather just buy one thats professionally done. what do you recommend for a 55g but sometime i will upgrade to 75 or a 100g..

Also sometime my light system failed! and the blue lights dont turn on.

If its a standard 55g you will be limited by the narrow stand. Fit the biggest sump you can under there.

I do not have good DIY skills and have bought used sumps that are already operational with plumbing and bafffles installed. In today's economy tanks and sumps do not sell well so they are very cheap. I have seen more expensive custom built ones but the ones I have bought are only $1 a gallon which is all I will spend. The last one was a 20 gallon high, drilled with baffles and plumbing included for $20. I have bought them at frag swaps as well as from fellow reefers breaking down tanks.

For my 55, I got a custom sump made. Its like 28g, and fits the entire area under my stand.

Works a treat. I only wish I made the skimmer section bigger though.

What kind of light system are you working with?
