DIY jump guard

    Here are pics of my jump guard. There's a pic of top of tank without guard, then the guard itself, then the guard on tank. We made two of them to make it easy to remove them. I used stuff from around the house (not enough egg crate), made the wood frame and stapled plastic gutter guard screen on. Minimal light interruption because gutter guard is very thin plastic. It's 23 1/2" X 18", gutter guard is only 6" wide, so needs three strips obviously.

    That will definitely work.

    Many guys use egg crate because it does not sag, and is self supporting.

    Thanks! It's super easy to make. I didn't have enough egg crate so I used what I could find at home. That way when I tell my hubby I NEED to buy a new coral, it's easier to justify!!!;)
