    wow this seems like a great find!! So is the consensus that these will not work on their own? I am seriously considering just getting the strip kit to add some color pop to my tank as I am running T-5 right now. I don't know if I will upgrade my light in the near future.

    The money saved part i love, i know it will work but as for growth color and durability i dont know if it will work out..please keep us all posted im sure im not the only one waiting lol

    Just got done reading the entire thread. Questions.
    Gillguy, are you still liking the setup, no problems etc...?

    Second, I have a 30g that I am starting and have been shopping for lights. The dimensions are 36"x12.5"x16". I was looking at the 36 LED kit, probably doing 2 heat sinks with 18per. Would this be sufficient for a mixed reef(invert, LPS, and probably SPS later)?
