    Forum: I ran across this cool looking coral rock but not sure of what it is made of. Is there a way i can tell if it is pure coral?


    I'm planning on a DIY Column tank with just this piece...

    hey Matt: Could be that is what i was afraid of... I actually pulled it from the ocean and cured it but i have used others like it and they turned black and coralline will grow in spots and not others... Although i placed it in acid during curing is there a sure fire way to tell?
