Hi Just finish with my DIY acrylic octo tank. The tank is about 7-10 gallon not sure. It have a bio-filter, mini skimmer on the back of the tank and a lockable top. It took about 1 week to cut and glue everything together. After two days later I got my first octopus from my LFS in Queens. I wanted to get a blue ring but my LFS told me it not easy getting one in NYC. If anyone have any idea where to get one please let me know. Here are the pics.;D

My son wants one so bad. I'd love to have one for a display, but I need to do a ton more research on them before I decide whether or not to do it. Your's is very cool. Thanks for the pics.

I would seriously research blue rings...they are commonly available on price lists but they arent to be taken lightly. I've briefly kept one for a friend and something that small that smart and that venomous needs some real consideration. That little bugger was always where i would have never guessed he'd fit or have interest in going.

I like my sea gobline a lot more...could mess me up rather well but at least he's easy to find..look for the lump under the sand with spines sticking up.

PS a lot of cities have laws regarding venomous creatures of all kinds and some stores wont risk it for a reasonably cheap octo sale.

thanks for the reply guys. the octopus still haven't eaten yet. I did put a demsel, some snails, 2 camel back shrimp, 2 crabs, and a few hermits in the tank. it been hiding in the hole ever seen i put him in. i try holding it but it keep on swimming around dont want to scare it or it will squirt ink. Thinking about making another tank for more exotic sea monster.
