DIY overflow box

i know this have been a thread raised over and over again so what the hell one more eh?
i have decided to make an overflow box instead of buying one of the net due to the outrageous costs to get them into Australia since the stores that i go to don't sell them or even better think your a complete nutter because they have never heard of them before..
so anyway my question to you is can you help me out with either posting your own DIY overflow systems or linking me to other successful threads

can you just drill the tank?

 

nah i cant... its stocked with fish rock and coral and i dont fancy drilling the tank
