the air tube hooks to the check valve to start the suction. once the suction is started gravity takes over. the tall tube is so you get air intake to push the water through. it works just like the drains in a house.

the pipe I drew the arrow on is where the water from the tank flows in. depending on how tall that is it dictates where the water lvl will stay at in the tank.

also here is a pic of what you should have when done.

    Hi

The overflow pipe you have made is right. Dont make it like the others shown on here. That kind suck the water from the top. There flow is not that good and they make a lot of noise. Mine will make none and have much better flow if its set up right. Look at my video again. Did you fill the tall pipe with water like i did in the video ?

Donkey I just watched the vid , I would like to say nice job! that was the whole reason I didn't like the one I posted because it made to much noise.

Yup that is different, do you silicone the clear plastic pipe in the tank to the bottom?

    Hi RHorton

Thanks for the kind words. No its not silicone in. When its full of water it more or less holds its self in place. But i did push a rock up next to it and i also tied it down with some zip ties just to make sure it wont ever move

    :)

Gabriel. Fill the tall pipe with water till you hear it run in to the sump. Then get some airline on the valve and suck it till it starts up and the water will flow
