I would say that depends on if you want to use power heads as well or just use your return pump. If I was going to have one return line and a ph or two I'd use the smaller one, but if I was going to use the return for water flow as well as getting water to and from my sump/fuge I'd go with the bigger one.

Send them an e-mail. They will give you advice. They answered my e-mail the next day. Just drilled my overflow and return today using their stuff. Super easy!

Typical gph is factored at 3-5 times tank volume for a standard tank. If you are going to be doing lots of coral you should get up to 10-15 times tank volume. Read an interesting article that some will do 20 times the tank volume as well.

I asked them about this also when I was planning on drilling my nano cube. They advised me that I should go with the 700 because it will work fine if you are using under powered pumps. They also told me that I could get one made with no teeth. Just mention it on the notes when ordering.

You say ordering with no teeth, is there an advantage to no teeth?

lol I've been mislead haha this isn't a diy overflow is a premade kit rofl but yes I'd agree with the above order bigger than you think you need that way you cant flood your tank, and I prefer teeth I think its a little harder for fish to get in but thats just me :p

Really? My biocube with two holes in the back would beg to differ.
