I was looking at Dr Tim's NP Active Pearls and I am hooked. Now all I need is a good reactor. I was thinking about building my own or should I just purchase one.

This would be the DIY one.

This would be the purchased one.

    Thoughts or suggestions???

The DIY one looks like a fun project, but personally I would only make one if it were to go on a really large tank. The Two Little Fishies reactor would definitely do the job, and doesnt really cost that much. They both would achieve the same goal but its really up to you to decide how much time you want to put towards this. If the Two Little Fishies reactor is only 32 bucks how much are you really saving after buying all the materials? I always factor in how much time it will take to build. Time is money after all. Either way thanks for sharing the link to the DIY reactor. Im thinking of building one for myself now. :)

Also, if you plan on using bio media, are you skimming as well?
