DIY PVC Overflow

    No I here ya. Like I said "mostly all the DIY".. I would only do this on a tank can not be drilled. A 40gal and lower I would just drill. Just make sure the bottom isn't tempered. If its an All-Glass you should be fine as long it wasn't a Walmart kit special. Walmart specs their tanks to be tempered.

    Thanks. Yeah it seems that after a few more hours of reading and watching videos that most, if not all, people that used 1/2" or 3/4" went up to 1" to get more flow.

    I drilled my 10 gallon as a practice run yesterday, it was pretty easy. You just have to take your time and the bit/drill do the work. Than glass is so thin you def. run the risk of cracking it.

    i think the elbow under the tee as to go then just place the tee there get it?

    yes actually. I'm about to make a home depot run and get 1" pipe. I'll try it before I glue it all up. Thankfully pvc is fairly cheap lol. The parts cost less than the glue!

    also make the loop on the outside lower then the tank the will bring ur flow rate up and test it b4 u glue it i only glued the portion in the tank and top loop coming out
