DIY reef lighting?

    does anyone one know any diy reef lighting fixture plans? im building a canopy for my 72 bow thanks to threemom's diy canopy and Im going to put a retro or my own fixture in it. I was thinking about building a led light but I cant find a diy or plans. metal halide, t5, and led light diy's/plans would be great

    Are you talking about doing a DIY halide setup? They are pretty easy to piece together, I know that nano-reef has a couple great write ups on them. I have a DIY 70w over my nano and a 150w over my 29g and both were simple and pretty cheap to boot. Will probably toss a 150w DIY over my FOWLR setup once it gets going and I will be doing a thread once that starts if you are interested.

    ya definately. build two 150w to hang over my 72 bow and i should be able to start a reef. it should come out to about 4watts per gallon which is good.
