I made a refugium from a 20 gallon long tank. I used 1/4 acrylic to make the baffles. The first section is 8inches which is going to be where the water drains from the 75 gallon aquarium and my protein skimmer. The next section is where my chaeto is going to be. This section is 14 inches. Should i use live sand in this section or leave it bare? My last section after the bubble trap is the return section which is 6 inches.

You'll get many answers on that one, and all could be correct.

I personally have no Sand or CC in my sump, Just the PS compartment and a large chaeto basket.

    Enjoy

Saw your tank on youtube. It looks great. You must be doing something right.

I have sand, some smaller live rock pieces and chaeto in mine. But as mentioned everyone has theirs setup a little differently and no one way is right!
