So I've made a DIY sump with a standard 10g aquarium and some picture frame replacement glass cut to size, and I need some advice with what skimmer I can get that will fit my needs. I need it to fit in the return section. Alternatively, it can be an out-of-sump skimmer, but I needs to be affordable (It's for a 34 gallon RSM) I've got a picture, though I'm not sure you can make out the measuring tape, so I will also list dimensions. For reference, the middle section is going to be the 'fuge, with live sand, live rock rubble, and macro algae. The first section will be standard filtration media (what specifically I should look at getting here and what I should do for a set up would also be good advice).

First section dimensions (for filtration, etc): 3 1/4" wide, 9 1/4" long, 10 1/2" tall
    Middle secion (refugium): 9 1/4" wide, 9 3/4" long, 7 3/4" tall (water depth)
Return secion (return pump/skimmer): 5" wide, 9 3/4" long, 7 3/4" tall (max water depth)

Also, when I get around to making the overflow, which will have to be custom made to fit my tank, I will be making a DIY thread for it, for those interested. I've got an idea of what I want to do in my head, but as to whether or not it will all work as planned is another story.

edit: I forgot to add that there will be an ATO set up, so the return section will stay at a consistent level.
