The idea of a controller is to automatically monitor your tank...this is completely manual. Search DJ equipment on Google.

I have this and a Full Apex model, I needed something to do just that and manually shut things off when I wanted without extra work. It's worth its weight in gold. :p

well i plan on staying as basic as i can, and have a controller help me monitor everything for the first year then after that i will decide if i get things like a reactor and such, things that might need me to have a switch board. but for now im sticking with LPS coral and beginners coral and such, but hey my tank wont be set up for quite some time. just plan on having wave makers, a sump/fug, skimmer, and ato, like i said basic stuff

great addition to my set up

i purchased a used tank system and it came with one of these and it is great. i procrastinate water changes way less becuase it is just too easy to shut things down and turn them right back on. i don't think i'd set another tank up with out one

i saw the neatest set up....

in the current video contest. it was a control panel set up on a drawer slider and there were a couple of them with different items per panel. i was impressed whith how neat and tidy it made that no-mans land behind the tank stand doors. if you are just setting up your system that video contest thread may be a wonderful place for you to see creative solutions in action

These things are awesome. About everything on my system is plugged in one of these. Makes maintenance so much easier. I use a total of 3 on my tanks and it's very convenient as long as all switches are labeled lol.
