I just went to Lowe's and decided that I wanted to build something, so I DIY'ed a terrarium :)

My 9 year old brother and I spent a grand total of about a half hour (And about $40 from me :D )

I used a piece of 1"x2"x8' for the perimeter and a .25"x2'x2' piece of plywood for the base.

I used rinsed pea gravel for the bottom substrate for drainage. I then covered it with a bag of Miracle Gro Cactus soil. I put what I believe is sandstone for decoration. The names of the succulents are on the pots that they came in. I'll check the names (and get better pictures) tomorrow.

Thanks :) I haven't really thought of any plans. I might be a few more succulents to fill in a little more space, but, for the most part, I'm pretty happy with what it's at right now.

Oops, I meant to put this under "the bucket" :p

I'm thinking of adding 1 or 2 more succulents. Do you know of any really nice and unusual looking ones?

Thanks! These look a lot like the reddish purple one that I have, though.

Well my cat kept jumping into the terrarium ::) So my dad and I put it all in a 10 gallon tank that we had laying around.

    Here are some updated pictures:

Whoops. I meant for this to be in "the bucket" instead of "general".

Looking great buddy! If you want to try a real challenge, pick up a phalanopsis orchid. They are gorgeous when flowering. Besides coral thats the pretty much the only thing I collect. lol.
