I change the water weekly. I was using IO but just the last time started using Reef Crystals.

I've been dosing with Kent Calcium to try to get the calcium levels up but it seems this is just making things worse! Help!

What is your Magnesium level? I suspect low.

As DKH rises it will force your Calcium down and you will have a hard time raising it (even with dosing) if the Mag is low.

Thanks for the help! That must be the issue. I don't have a magnesium test and the shop by my house doesn't sell one. They do however sell Kent Tech-M which is relatively cheap. Should I try dosing with it in "maintenance amounts" as suggested on the label...

I would definitely check your Mag level. If your Mag is between 1400-1500, I would start to dose Cal. That will stablize your Alk and Cal levels out, but as you dose, you MUST test to see where your at. You MUST test for everything that you dose. Luna

Would a couple of 15% water changes about 3 days apart be the best solution?

Ditto! Without it, I may have kept dosing copius amounts of Calcium only to have a calcium carbonate fall-out !
