In the process of getting my tank setup on the 2 part dosing system, I have been closely monitoring my dKH/Ca/ph.

This morning (before lights were on) I had the following values:

    ph: 7.95
    Ca: 460
    dKH: 14.3!!!

Is this dangerously high? All my corals seem fine (mostly LPS corals). I added some buffer uesterday (apparently too much) because my ph was low due to the fact that my wife left the glass lid closed on the tank overnight. I usually leave the lid off the tank overnight as it seems to help prevent a big dip in ph.......

I keep my kh between 12 and 14, so that is not too high. It can go too high and cause burns on your corals but you are fine. What is more important is keeping your parems consistent levels. If you are 8 one day and 15 next day, then down to 10 that is the true problem.

my parems were staying pretty consistent, mg 1400, ca 420. I doses a variety of products, i usually do kalk drip and supplement mg and ca as needed.

I have had spells in past where my kh drops to 6 and kills all my chalices so before my tank broke (literally) i tested the kh about every 3-4 days and dosed accordingly.
