I'm looking at getting a carpet anemone for my clowns. Do you have to hand feed this guy? Thanks

I can only reply on my own experience. I have a carpet anenome and I do hand feed him, just not everyday. You might want to look at another type of anenome for your clown, type depending on what kind of clown. I have had a number of fish just "disappear" and I feel sure it has to do with this carpet. But, in the wild that is what would happen, so I try to not be to upset. I become very attached to all my inhabitants very quickly, carpet anenome included.

Ultimately, the choice is yours, as was mine. Knowing how he is, I might rethink it now. Love him anyway.

    Good luck.

I have a Rose Anenome and hand feeding is the owner's choice. Their main source of life support is light not food. The food for you could say is built in. (Zooxanthellae) I feed mine once or twice a month. It is not needed it is a treat. Like cookies for a kid.
