    Yes.

I've read about two schools of thought regarding this behavior. Some folks think that the fish don't actually feed the anemone but that it uses the anemone to stun and kill its own food. The anemone may get a few scraps of the food as a result but it's not an intentional act on the part of the fish. Then there's those that say that the fish feeds the anemone.

So, with all that being said, I think they might do a little of both :)

That is what I read in a few places tooo. I have "Clownfish" by Joyce Wilkerson, and it is a great book for clownfish. I dont think in the wild clowns do it, but in captivity they do. I dont think they are as hungry, lol. Ive also heard anemones feed on the clown waste. I know mine has gotten bigger within the few hours my purc has been in it.?. Ill keep up with the reading and do some hands on experments to see what happens. Im asuming it will take a few weeks for the clown to be nice to its house, he he.

If the tank is set up and lite properly anemones do not need to be fed other then what they can catch from floating scraps and what they can get when their host clowns drop scraps. You feed them they get really larger then most have room to keep them in.
