To be furious at the fact that on Saturday Nov. 26th i bought an eshopps psk 150 from a sponsor on here for 117.71 shipped. Everything was paid for, ready to be shipped with in 24 hrs it says on their website clear as day. Well come home hoping to see a package at my door, instead I have an email from the sponsor saying they ran out... but heres the thing.

3 days it took to tell me this!!! i went out n forked out money that I could use for the holidays for my nephews and what not, you know the drill. Not to mention they say they "Ran out and its going to take a month to get some more" but I can go on the web site right now, and buy the same skimmer but now for 150 bux!!! ( i bought it saturday for 119!!!)so they lied to me and didnt run out!!! What the EFFFFF!!!! dude i feel scammed as hell!

Not to mention I have glass being cut for my sump, that im not going to need now, that i have to pay for...

Thanks _____ for everything. Im not going to bash nobody but damn. Not a happy guy right now. at all.

sorry to say a lot of companies do this, and when it happens to me i usually get my money back and never deal with them again.
if they are out they should tell you with in a reasonable time not 3 days. and I'm betting its on their site for 150 but they still don't have it.
it is why i deal with certain companies who put out of stock on their site when its out of stock. or tell you with in 24 hours.

    i feel for you.

right, like on most sites if the item is out of stock, it will say that right where "add to cart" is. and you wont be able to click on it, until its back in stock.

i hate being SUPER excited for something, then it just gets shot down. Seriously the worst feeling known to mankind.

I don't have anyway of knowing this...just stipulation...but a lot of places don't stock items anymore...they drop-ship from a supplier...it's less overhead which mean lower prices, but it also means they don't really know exactly what's in stock. I think it's very possible with all the sales last week that they went to drop-ship only to find out the supplier is out of stock. It's becoming a more and more common practice, but it does have it's drawbacks. I feel your frustration...I've been caught up in this myself a time or two.

right... Now im rethinking about if this is even the skimmer i want. i says that the skimmer is an Eshopps psk 150 but on the website it says ... made by and the company name. If its an Eshopps psk150, shouldnt it say made by, eshopps and not this supplier? I did notice the pump isnt the same as pictured on Eshopps website. There it has the pump directly in the skimmer, on this website, the pump is set aside and plumbed by pvc. Looks completely different.

Im thinking it may be, thats why it was only 117 bux instead of the 170 it normally is...

It's fairly common these days...you can have a huge website store but maintain very little inventory (in some cases none). The obvious advantage to the store owner is they don't have to purchase large amounts of inventory up-front or have the costs associated with maintaining your own warehouse....the drop-ship supplier gets the benefit of having 10's if not 100's or even 1000's of stores sell the product...so all they have to do is maintain inventory and blind ship the products for the retailer...also a very cost effect model for the supplier. All in all it's not a bad thing as some of those savings typically get passed onto the purchaser and it allows a lot of online stores to offer a great deal many more products than if they had to maintain the inventory themselves. The real downside is keeping up with inventory. Even if the supplier offers fairly good inventory counts/updates to the retailer...with so many stores all vying for the same stock, it can go from a reasonable number in stock to none very quickly. Most of the time is works flawlessly and the consumer never knows or cares where the product actually shipped from. Again I don't know if this is the case with your purchase...but with black Friday sales it seems like a very likely scenario.

There is your drop-ship business 101...maybe you can get a 1/8 of a credit for this, LOL!

I'm not very up-to-date on skimmers myself...do Octopus skimmers still get good reviews? I think a similar size is well under $200.
