Do i have a justafiable reason...

I understand why you would be upset over this. I don't know what sponsor it was that you had this problem with, but I had a similar situation happen to me (if I get what you are saying).

I think you mean that you ordered the skimmer, it said it would arrive, and then they emailed you saying it won't be available to ship out? Did you talk to them about it being available to purchase on the website?

When I ordered my Hydor Skimmer from Marine Depot, the site let me go through with the purchase, but the Marine Depot rep wasn't sure if there were any left in stock. So I spoke with him on here as well as facebook about the problem. He talked to some up his upper level dudes at MD and found that there were actually some still available, so I went ahead with the purchase. Although there was a bit of confusion, it got sorted out and I would gladly order from them again.

Edit: I haven't read the above posts (aside from OP) yet, so if you actually mean they let you order an item that was out of stock and you already payed for it, then I apologize for wasting your time. : That would be pretty messed up. I assume you could file a complaint with them to get your money back, or with the credit card company if it is too late.

 

Its all good and that is what happened. I bought it, they charged me, said they ship within 24 hrs, 3 days later, no more skimmers, they ran out... Sucks dude but what ever. I thought i was getting a steal.. guess jokes on me right... lol i hope i get the same skimmer for the same price when they "do get some more" cuz this all is legit b.s.

Thats if I chose to purchase thru them, ( and if i even want this skimmer, a part of me is seeing this a sign to go with my gut choice; swc.) I never get worked up. ever. I keep to myself but this is outrageous man. you just dont do that to ppl, especially when the sale is that big of a price drop, you think they would have been on it the second they ran out...

 

i have the swc 120 cone . its a great quiet skimmer i had a problem with the impeller in the first month and swc took care of it so fast.i had the part needed in a few days . since than its been running great. i do have to say they are a bit touchy, i have to turn mine off for an hour after feeding or it over flows

 

I want the 160 one. Its like the ideal skimmer for me. but like i said at that price i really couldn't afford to pass it up. Im trying to save money by any means. Im an unemployed college student. most my tank purchases are from financial aid alone, now i get to take a chunk out of books for next semester for a skimmer. I need a job, and a degree to help fund this hobby, or else its going to lose another member, fast... :-/
