I knew I shouldn't have started bragging, cuz look, isn't this Aiptasia? In fact I think there's 2 of them. Thought they were cute when I first saw it a couple of weeks ago. Looking through a book on Inverts and ran across a picture and realized, it ain't cute, it's a menace. Can I yank 'em out with some tweezers?

Unlike an anemone the feather duster has a calcerous tube. Aptasia looks like an anemone. Usually white to brown. It's too bad aptasia is such a menace cause, I think that they are cool looking.

They look so similar. How can you tell them apart? While taking pictures, at one point, it had disappeared. I sat and stared at watched it slowly come out of it's little tiny tube. It was really beautiful.
