Linda some of the corals I sent you had them on it our systems are crawling with them But they do no harm I keep them and apatsias in my refugiums as much and possible the feather dusters do better in the sump on the rocks I keep in there for them.. They all make great filter's But not to worry I know where you got them from LOL Oh an if you ever get a aptasia not to worry I can send you or tell you how to make my mix to kill them right then and there before your eyes. Joesph did not get the whole mixture :)

Aiptasia are a pest but im not convinced they can't be utilized in a refugium.
How you would do that and stop them spreading to the other fuges/display tanks i dont know but they are great at NE

First time in my life a man's ever admitted that to me! :hehe: Thanks, Tangster. And, by the way, I researching for my next purchase. Wanna put something in the center void - something that needs little light. But not ricordias. I'll be in touch, my friend!

Depends on how you set you fuge up. I have never had one to migrate and at one time I had a 10 gal fuge on a 90 that was totally full of aptasias .. I had a guy here on this site to get me every aptasia he had in his shot to put in my fuge here and we have never had one in the main tank yet its been up 1.7 yrs now. I have used them for many many yrs and never had a issue with that yet. But again It depends on how you set your up. And as far as trying to convince you or anyone for that matter Not me .. Not anymore :)

Maybe it's time you considered moving out to California. 8) You don't have to live in the snow -- just 1 hours drive -- gonna be close to 70 degrees this weekend.

Thats very interesting, how would you rate their performance a nutrient export. I'd always heard they were very beneficial in that regard, which did surprise me to hear so few people willing to try and fuge them.
