Do I have anything to worry about?

I have a LTA in my tank. I noticed today my water was very cloudy. I looked at the LTA and noticed it looked to be "going to the bathroom" or putting some nasty looking stuff into the water. should I be worried about it? right now it doesnt look as full and good as normal. I know Nems will go through periods of being full size and shrinking a little but the nasty and cloudy water has me wondering.

 

Could be expelling waste. You'd know if it was crashing your tank. The fishes would not be happy. Are you sure the cloudiness came from the LTA?

 

I was watching it happen so I would say yes. I cant see any other reason for it.

 

Has he been fed a lot recently? Sometimes anemones engorge themselves to the point where there's a sort of emergency expelling of waste.

Have you added any new corals to the tank? Sometimes chemical warfare can occur when certain button polyps and other corals are added.

 

well this Nem has only been in the tank for a month or so. and I have tried feeding him silver sides and also krill but wont take them. as for new coral, I really only have kenya trees and some xenia. so not really sure what might be the problem.

 

What color is the stuff coming out of the nem?

 

kinda hard to say, cloudy or almost ink like look to it.
