I have a 20 gallon long tank. I have a 30" Solarmax HO T5 lighting system (24W x 2). This fixture includes one T5 10,000K daylight bulb and one T5 actinic-03 bulb. The lights can be controlled individually and the "moonlights" remain on all the time.

Is this enough lighting to raise zoas? If so, how deep should I place them (if it matters). There are two small colonies of the frag I bought and only one of the colonies have been opening during the day. They are eagle eye zoas. Thanks for all of the help everyone! :D

you have plenty of lighting for zoas.you may even find in that shallow of a tank, some may have to be placed lower or even partially shaded to get the best colors out of them

with zoas, they'll brown out or wash out (lose there bright colors, become bland and dull looking)

That light will be fine but I would atleast change the 10K out to a 20K at the bare minimum, However you would be better off ordering 2 better bulbs for it, Maybe 2 ATI blue+ or something along those lines

Either way you cant go wrong with ATI bulbs
