I set up my tank about 7 months ago and i put 2 bubble screens in the back....the problem with the bubbler now is that I upgraded my lights to t5's and the bubbler is putting tiny surface bubbles on my water top and with the water movement the surface bubbles move and pop causing water to shoot up onto my light which means i have to clean my bulb protector everyday...I have an undertank trickle sump (bio balls removed) with a refugium attached to it with lots of algae I also have an in sump skimmer and a HOB AquaC Remora with a surface skimmer...so if I could get away without the bubble screens it would really make life easier.. PLEASE let me know what ya think?

I would get rid of the bubblers completely. Bubbles in the tank are not necessary at all. You trickle filtration underneath will keep the water oxygenated enough for the fish.

Plus you have a skimmer which also oxygenates the water.
So you don't need the bubble wands. More of a freshwater thing.

Even if you didn't have bio balls in your wet dry, with proper surface agitation in the aquarium, you should have ample gas exchange to keep the dissolved oxygen at adequate levels.

i would take them out, i heard the bubbles can get under the fishs gills and damage or even kill them. get rid of them, only in the skimmer there should b bubbles
