    Oxygenation Marie0912

you do want something in there to turn the water over so that oxygen levels do not reduce due to fish using it faster than the still water surface area can absorb/ exhange with oxygen in the atmosphere

    how big is the tank
I appreciate you dont want a washing machine amount of flow, but you do want ripples on the water surface IMO

an air brick is all you might need to create a gentle current and make sure its bare bottom tank with 0 rock and i generally use some pvc or simple plastic fish fixtures that are washable for the fish to hide in. cause rock and sand with absorb copper and other meds.

Do you have a filter on it? On my quarantine tank I run a small HOB filter and no other pumps.

the 1200s are about 300 gallons per hour
so that would be 30 x tank volume

if you angle it upwards and towards the front or rear glass to diffuse the flow, it may be OK , IMO
provide cover as suggested by hasek so that fish can find calmer areas if required

Yes I have a hang on back filter on it so it gets some oxygen from that and I found a little fountain pump that I had and stick it to the bottom and its shooting straight up just enough to make ripple on the water do you think that would work?

I use a sponge filter and a HOB Penguin filter with a carbon filter. It's rated at 200 gph and I have a 14g quarantine tank.
