Do I need mechanical filtration?

    I was curious to find out if I need mechanical filtration on my 20 gal mini reef if I already have 24 lb of LR, LS, and a good skimmer?

    I don't think it will be necessary. The good skimmer, LR, and LS should work just fine for you.
